Dr Angela is a gentle and thorough dentist who graduated from Griffith University on the Gold Coast in 2015. Dr Angela was raised in Brisbane, she has since gained extensive experience across both the private and public sectors. Dr Angela is deeply committed to preserving natural dentition through conservative dentistry and promoting lifelong oral health via patient education. Her practice philosophy centres on efficiency, integrity, and ethical care recommendations.
Dedicated to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry, Dr Angela actively pursues continuing professional education to master the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques. She has a special interest in paediatric dentistry, Invisalign, gum treatment, sleep and respiratory health, and restorative smile solutions designed to rebuild confidence.
With experience working in Queensland Health within a large hospital setting, Dr Angela is well-versed in the public health system and the multidisciplinary coordination required for patients undergoing oncology treatment. Her gentle and empathetic manner has earned her the trust of patients from all walks of life — including those who are anxious, paediatric, oncology, and geriatric patients. As both a clinician and a patient, she also has firsthand experience in managing jaw joint pain and bite issues related to Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD).
Outside of dentistry, Dr Angela leads an active and adventurous lifestyle. Over the next decade, she aspires to travel the world competing in international chess tournaments, complete the Boston Marathon, and earn a top 10 finish on MasterChef.
Having completed his dental degree at the University of Queensland, Dr Andrew Paddison(DEN0001394671) began his dental career as a Dental Officer with the RAAF, dedicating the first four years to serving in this capacity. Over a span of 30 years, he has accumulated extensive experience in various facets of dentistry, ranging from simple to complex treatment planning, including complex crown / bridgework and implant dentistry. For 18 years, 10 years of that as an owner / partner, he worked in a large, multi-disciplinary family practice where he gained invaluable insights into managing diverse dental needs including complex crown / bridgework and dental implants. Despite facing a significant life challenge, he has since continued to thrive in different clinical environments. His approach to dentistry emphasises building strong personal connections with clients while prioritising preventive care. Collaborating effectively with dental hygienists, he strives to educate and empower clients in minimising future dental issues. Outside of dentistry, Andrew leads a fulfilling life with his wife and three adult children. His passions include a range of outdoor activities such as road cycling, mountain biking, golf, and surfing.
Dr Girish Basavaraj, BDS, a seasoned dentist with a rich heritage in dentistry, is at the helm of Aurora Smile. As the Dentist, he brings a wealth of experience and a dedication to excellence in oral healthcare.
A graduate of the esteemed Bapuji Dental College and Hospital, India, in 2001, Dr Basavaraj furthered his education with a Master’s in Pediatric Dentistry in 2005. His journey continued as a senior lecturer in a private dental school in India before earning his General Dentist licensure in Australia through the Australian Dental Council Exams (ADC) in 2007.
With a legacy of over 50 years of dental expertise passed down through three generations, Dr Basavaraj has consistently pursued excellence. He has augmented his professional skills through continuous education in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, clear aligners, and private practice management.
Dr Basavaraj’s commitment to staying at the forefront of dental innovation is evident in his hands-on Implant certification from Brenner Implant Institute, Sydney, in 2011. He is also certified in laser dentistry and holds accreditation for clear aligner orthodontic treatment.
A proud member of the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry (ASID), The International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and The Implant Prosthetic Section of the ICOI, Dr Basavaraj is currently pursuing a PG Cert for Dental Implantology under the Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology in London.
Beyond his impressive professional credentials, Dr Basavaraj believes in forging lasting relationships with his patients and their families. His passion for his work shines through as he takes immense pride in helping patients smile with confidence. At Aurora Smile, Dr Girish Basavaraj leads a team dedicated to bringing joy and confidence to every smile.
Straight out of high school, she began her dental journey by enrolling in a traineeship for dental assisting. During this time, she honed her interpersonal skills, which she further developed while travelling overseas. For two years, she lived and worked in high-end clinics in Harley Street, London, where she gained valuable knowledge and experience in the field.
Upon returning to Australia, Alyce pursued a Diploma in Management. She obtained a Senior role at Griffin University, where she displayed exceptional leadership and management skills. Her expertise in specialist practice management allowed her to effectively manage multiple dental practices in Townsville.
After many years of successful leadership and management roles, Alyce returned to Brisbane where she began her career training and promoting the development of young dental assistants through her role as a Student Co-Ordinator at the Australian Dental Association Queensland.
Throughout her career, Alyce has developed exceptional communication skills, which enable her to connect with clients and colleagues alike. Her empathy and positive attitude make her a valuable addition to Aurora Smiles. She is passionate about dentistry and dedicated to providing exceptional service to all patients. With extensive experience in management and specialist practice, she has the skills and knowledge to inspire her team. When she is not leading Aurora Smiles, she enjoys going on weekend trips with her family and exploring the beautiful country.
